These fish prey on blueback herring and bream year round. These fish like to pack up and swarm the banks during the summer and live out deep in the winter. During the spring and fall everything plays well here.

Lake Glenville has an abundance of blueback herring and bream which are the main food sources for the predatory fish. Clear water and great fishing sum up this mountain gem!

Details: Fontana Lake is the deepest lake in NC and arguably the clearest water. With a dense population of threadfin shad, gizzard shad, bream and trout are the food sources for bass! There are always a ton of fish to be caught when fishing on Fontana Lake and every once in a while you can catch a true mountain giant!

Details: Fishing Bear Creek Lake is awesome. There are a lot of trees and bream that hold in the trees. Big largemouth rule these waters and can be caught shallow and deep! With Bear Creek being pretty remote, the lake does not get a lot of heavy pressure. The quantity is not the greatest but the quality is always something to brag about!
